Membership in the Midwest Association of Pre-Law Advisors (MAPLA) is open to pre-law advisors from 2- and 4- year institutions.  MAPLA is open to pre-law advisors in the Midwest region, which includes Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin but pre-law advisors from any region are also welcome to join MAPLA.  In addition, law school representatives from any ABA approved law school are eligible for membership.


Those interested in joining MAPLA can apply for membership in one of two ways:

1. Membership Form: Membership in MAPLA begins in August and runs through July of the following year.  Membership applications may be submitted as early as April the previous year.  The yearly fee for Pre-Law Advisors is $40 and $60 for Law School Representatives.  Application forms and fees may be submitted electronically through our website or forms and payment may be mailed to the Membership Chair.
   
   
2. Conference Registration Form: MAPLA holds an annual conference, and registration for the conference INCLUDES the membership fee for that particular year.  Every four years, the Pre-Law Advisors National Conference is held.  PLANC fees also include MAPLA dues for that particular year.
